Creating captivating artwork isn’t as simple as it looks. In fact, a lot of thought, planning and preperation is required to achieve the results I desire and aim for. The painting is inevitably a personal reflection of a special place, in space and time, that entertains the imagination. All paintings start with an idea. This is translated into a 2D sketch, which is then adapted and transformed into a 3D structure, which requires the viewer to touch the painting and feel it's texture - as every piece of artwork is TACTILE and demands close scrutiny and attention as issues such as colour, weight, shape, material and more also come into play.
